Five People Found Direct Contact With Monkeypox Man

Phnom Penh: The spokesperson of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Or Vandine, said that five people had direct contact with a man from Nigeria Monkeypox Man who was found yesterday.

According to Dr. Or Vandine, the five people have not yet shown any signs of infection, although they need to be isolated at their homes and monitored health and must report to the medical team if any symptoms are suspected and maintain order security by the competent authorities of the Phnom Penh Capital Administration.

Osmond Chihazirim Nzerem, a 27-year-old Nigerian man with Monkeypox, disappeared from a hospital in Phuket, Thailand, on July 22 and was found in Phnom Penh. Cambodia on July, 23.

Now he is currently being treated at the Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital.
